La Liga: Costa sent off after scoring in Atletico win

Diego Costa got his L Liga return got off to a bitter-sweet start as he was given the marching order moments after finding the back of the net in Atletico Madrid's 2-0 victory over Getafe on Saturday.

An 18th minute excellent Antoine Griezmann pass found Ángel Correa to put the home side in front before Costa's goal in the second period settled the affair and gave Atletico a well-earned three points.

The former Chelsea striker was sent off 69 minutes into his La Liga return against Getafe in a crazy, six-minute spell after scoring in his first league game since his return to Spain to double Atleti's lead.

He picked up a second yellow card for jumping into the crowd at the Vicente Calderon and received his marching order, having only been booked six minutes earlier for an elbow on Getafe's Djene.

The 29-year old striker momentarily appeared to forget he was on a yellow card after he doubled the home side's lead.

Referee Juan Martinez Munuera was cast as the villain of the piece. However, by the letter of the law, such an action was worth a second yellow going by the rules of the game.

The controversial Costa who was dismissed at Chelsea via a text message will now be suspended for Atletico's next game with Eibar.

Is Coffee Raising Your Cholesterol Level?

RESEARCHERS at the Wageningen Agricultural University, in the Netherlands, say that drinking unfiltered coffee will raise your cholesterol level. The crucial word is “unfiltered.” Why? Research Reports, a newsletter from the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research, says that coffee beans contain a cholesterol-raising substance called cafestol. Without a paper filter, the cafestol ends up in the brew. One unfiltered cup of coffee, which may contain up to four milligrams of cafestol, can cause the cholesterol level to rise by about 1 percent. Espresso also contains cafestol, since it is made without a paper filter. However, its cholesterol-raising effect is less if you use a demitasse. Less espresso, less c...
