Transfer news: Messi points out 3

Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, has reportedly told his club to sell three players following their club-record £142 million signing of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, Diario Gol reports.

Coutinho was paraded as a Barca player on Monday lunchtime, bringing an end their long-running pursuit of the Brazilian International.

According to the report, Messi has held conversations with the Barcelona hierarchy over whom they should sell.

The Argentine international said his Catalan club should sell Aleix Vidal, Gerard Deulofeu and Andre Gomes.

Vidal has struggled to impress since signing for Barcelona as Dani Alves’ replacement and is widely expected to join Sevilla. Former Everton star, Deulofeu could be heading back to Serie A, with both Inter Milan and Napoli reportedly interested in him. Gomes is linked to a £30million switch to Tottenham.
